Died 10 April 1917 aged 21
Son of Annie Sarah Yarnold, 5 Royal Parade, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire and the late Joseph Henry Harris. Native of Elmstone Hardwick, Cheltenham.
Commemorated on The HS Salta Memorial, St Marie Cemetery, Le Havre, France.
Commemorated on a family headstone at
Staverton St Catherine Churchyard, Gloucestershire.
N.B. CWGC records show that Private Harris was 18 when he died, when all records show he was 21. They also state that he was buried at Ste Marie Cemetery, when in fact he is commemorated, along with all who drowned that day on The H S Salta Memorial at that cemetery.
