Ernest CLARKE, Private 8131 2nd Northamptonshire Regiment. Born 1888 at Kettering, Northamptonshire, enlisted on the 25th September 1906, occupation prior to enlistment, leather dresser, son of Alfred. In 1911 he was stationed in Malta with the 2nd Northamptonshire Regiment aged 22 Died 9th September 1913 aged 26

William COCHRANE, Corporal 85547, 96th Company, Royal Garrison Artillery. Born in 1878 at Devonport, Devonshire to Samuel and Elizabeth of (1891) 13 St Aubyn Street Devonport, enlisted into the army on the 15th July 1891, husband of Clara nee Nicholas and father to Edith L, Elizabeth K, Winifred H and William Vincent. In 1901 he was single and a gunner with the Royal Garrison Artillery at Hill Encampment Pembroke. 1911 he was stationed with the 49th Coy Royal Garrison Artillery at Shoeburyness Essex aged 33 now married On the 4 August 1913 Clara returned to England disembarking at Plymouth with her four children. She was classed as a soldiers widow. Died 18th June 1913 aged 35
Leonard Goff TOMPKINS. Private 8533, 2nd Northamptonshire Regiment. Born on the 20 January 1889 at Wollaston, Northamptonshire, enlisted on the 29th July 1907, occupation prior to enlistment, shoe worker, son of Walter Denton Tompkins and Harriet nee Goff. At the time of his birth his parents were living at Wollaston, father's occupation, shoe finisher. He joined up aged 18, occupation shoe hand. He was living at Wollaston, Wellingboro, Northamptonshire. On the 18th November 1911 he was posted to Malta and he died at midnight 15/16th January 1914 at Cottonera, Malta of Broncho Pneumonia.
