Enola Gay

The now famous ,but then just another B-29 superfortress on the island of Tinian. The one exception was, it was parked out and away from all the other planes ,and under a 24 hour a day armed marine guard.The plane was named after the pilots mother. Colonel Paul Tibbets was the pilot of this plane which would carry the 1st atom bomb to be dropped on Japan.
