Extended Description: Elizabeth CONGREVE, nee Harding. Nursing Sister VAD, the British Red Cross Society, attached to 15th General Hospital.

Born 1913 to Maj. C. Harding and Mrs. Harding. Wife of Maj. John Congreve, of Middleton Tyas, Yorkshire.

Died 18 December 1940 aged 27 of Diphtheria.

At rest in Cairo War Memorial Cemetery, Egypt.

Commemorated on St Simon and St Church Church War Memorial, East Dean, East Sussex.
