EGERTON Edward Gervase

EGERTON Edward Gervase. Mentioned in Despatches. Lieutenant, Royal Navy, Born 25th July 1920 and was killed in action during the attack on Dieppe on Wednesday 19th August 1942 aged 22 while in command of H.M.S. Chasseur 13. Son of Vice-Admiral (Henry) Jack Egerton, C.B., and Marion Egerton, of Sheriff Hutton, Yorkshire. He was buried at sea. Commemorated on the Portsmouth Naval Memorial, Hampshire
