Edwin John GREENSLADE. Private 8873 C Company, 2nd Devonshire Regiment died at Malta 20th March 1911 aged 20. He was born Tiverton, Devon, occupation labourer and enlisted into the army on the 10th December 1908. He was the son of James Greenslade who was granted a war gratuity 25th April 1911. In 1901 he was living with his father and mother Sarah Ann nee Luxon and his siblings at 4 Silver Street, Tiverton, Devon . 1911 he was stationed with the 2nd Devonshire Regiment in Malta aged 20.

Stanley SIMONS. (Alias Symons) Private 8352, C Company 2nd Devonshire Regiment died at Malta 7th September 1911 aged 23. Born at Plymouth, occupation, indoor servant and enlisted 31st May 1907. Son of Thomas Simons who was granted a war gratuity 29th September 1911.
