Private 9696 Edward Percival Sainsbury Ellis k/a Percy Royal Army Medical Corps died at No 5 General Hospital Naauwpoort, k/a Noupoort Johannesbury South Africa. 6 June 1900 aged 27 years. Son of Charles Edward and Janet Sarah Ellis nee Burton of Thornbury Gloucestershire. In 1881 he was residing with his parents at 15 St James Square, parish of St Paul, Bristol. He is commemorated on a family memorial in St Mary the Virgin Church, Thornbury, Gloucestershire.
