Born 1889 at Pill, nr Bristol, Somerset to James John and Susan Parsons, nee Milford of Avonmouth. 1891 residing with his parents and siblings at Myrtle Hill, Pill, nr Bristol, Somerset. 1901 residing with his parents and siblings at 15 Meadow Street, Horfield, Bristol, Gloucestershire. 1911 residing with his parents and siblings at 55 Richmond Villas, New Richmond Terrace, Avonmouth, Gloucestershire. Occupation, shipping clerk. Married Catherine Cecilia Fenton on the 1 September 1914 at St Andrew Church, Avonmouth, Gloucestershire. He was Private 2766, 6th Gloucestershire Regiment. Residing with his wife at Severn House The Docks, Avonmouth. Died of active service at Armentieres, France 15 April 1915 aged 26 years. His widow was granted a war gratuity 8 September 1915, revised 23 June 1919.
