Flight Sergeant Douglas Gordon HUGHES. No. 1320867 Royal Air Force stationed at RAF South Cerney.
Died 28 July 1952 aged 30 as the result of a mid air collision near Calmsden Gloucestershire during an instrument training sortie. He was second man in a Harvard T.29 KF948 flown by Flt Lt Timothy Allman BRIDGE when he collided with the Harvard T.2B FS822 flown by Flt Lt Alan Leonard Jose MAY both died.

At rest at South Cerney All Hallows Churchyard, Gloucestershire.
