F016 DOUGLAS HUNTER CAMERON, Sergeant, 517813, Royal Air Force, aged 24 years, the son of Emily Amelia and William Hunter and Emily Amelia Cameron of Epsom, Surrey. Husband of Almaza Marie Cameron, of Epsom, Surrey. Died 28th January 1941.

F016 THOMAS REAY, Sergeant, Air Gunner, 751646, Royal Air Force (VR), 148 Squadron. He survived an air crash in a Wellington bomber at Tal Handaq during the night of 3rd/4th November 1940. He was killed in an air raid on 28th January 1941.

F016 RICHARD CLEGG, Leading Aircraftman (Ground Staff) 1233498, Royal Air Force (VR), 138 Squadron. Born 1921 to Joseph and Mary Ellen Clegg, nee Willis of 2 Manning Road, Preston, Lancashire. He was a passenger in a Halifax bomber which crashed 17th December 1942 near RAF Luqa, Malta aged 21 years.
He was a passenger, out of total seventeen crew and passengers in a Handley Page Halifax Bomber Serial number DT542 on a Transit Flight from Cairo, via Malta for England. The plane took off from RAF Luqa after re-fuelling at about 04.00 hrs and crashed on open ground beyond the runway in the area of Zejtun, Malta on 17th December 1942 killing all 17 on board. The cause of the accident may have been engine failure. Another theory is, that the plane had just flown over Zejtun when a large explosion was heard, and the plane crashed into fields and caught fire. It is believed that is was mistakenly shot down by friendly ground fire.
His father fought in the Great War as Private with the Royal Welsh Fusiliers. Enlisted 24 January 1916 discharged 24 December 1917,

F016 DAVID TREVOR HOWARD, Sergeant, Pilot, 1082376, Royal Air Force (VR), 69 Squadron. Died 18th December 1942. Wills and Admin, Ancestry - His residence was 4 Tile Lodge Cottage, Hoath Road, Sturry, Kent. His effects went to Violet Ivy Howard, wife of David Henry Howard.
His father fought in the Great War as Sergeant 24398 Army Veterinary Corps
