Extended Description: Dorothy FOX. Nurse VAD.

Born 1894 to Thomas and Mary Fox of Barnsley, Yorks.

Resided with her parents at Hall Bank, Barnsley, Yorkshire, 1916-1918. 1st July 1916 on duty in Ipswich Military Hospital, Ipswich, Suffolk.
27 April 1917 on duty at 4th Northumberland VAD Hospital Corbridge, Northumberland until 21 May 1917. 8 October 1917 on duty at 2nd Western General Hospital Manchester until her death of influenza and pneumonia 3 November 1918, aged 24. A war gratuity was granted 4 June 1919 to her father, revised 27 October 1919.
