POYNTER, Arthur Vernon, Captain Scot Guards and Major Coldstream Guards. He was Aide=de camp to His Excellency the Vice Roy of India. He was wounded whilst Captain of the 10th Imperial Yeomanry, South African Field Force on the 28th July 1900 at Frederikstad. Died in the Cirencester registration District in 1955 aged 84. He was the son of Lieutenant Colonel James Poynter, formerly 14th Hussars. (Google him)
