- Sergeant 24456269 David Dennis Martin TAGGART, 7/10th City of Belfast battalion. He was shot dead by the two PIRA gunmen outside his home at 42 Battenburg Street, Shankill, North Belfast on the 4th August 1986. They were seen running up the street towards the man firing. They continued firing as he lay on the ground wounded before making their getaway. He was off duty aged 33. At rest in Roselawn Cemetery Ballygowan Road Belfast. Grave S.1532
