DAWSON, Harold Brookes, missing in France 1916 aged 20. He was Lance Corporal 20080, 22nd Manchester Regiment, killed in action 2nd June 1916. He was the son of Thomas and Clara of 5, Recreation Road, High Peak, Buxton, formerly of 56, Cliff Road, Fairfield, Buxton, Derbyshire. His occupation in 1911 was an Apprentice Cabinet Maker. Born in Wrexham, Denbighshire, enlisted in Buxton. Commemorated on his parents memorial in Buxton Cemetery, Derbyshire and also on the Thiepval Memorial, Somme, France
