- David MERCHANT. Chief-Stoker 170830, Royal Navy on HMS Medea. (DoB taken from his naval record. 3rd April 1873) at Meddo, Aberdeen, enlisted 29th November 1892, occupation prior to enlistment, grocer. Died 11th August 1911 aged 38 in a hospital in Malta. Suicide by cutting his throat. His aunt was informed of his death 12th August 1911.
At rest in Plot B Grave 205, Capuccini Naval Cemetery, Malta.
