D643 CHARLES BANISTER. Stoker Petty Officer P/K55412 Royal Navy on HMS Royal Sovereign. Born 16 February 1901 at Frimley, Surrey to William Penton and Elizabeth Charlotte Banister nee Parrant. He was baptised 22 September 1901 at St Michael, Camberley, his parents address was given as 10 Coopersale Road, Homerton, London, his father’s occupation was given as stoker at hospital. 1911 residing with his parents and siblings at High Street, Sandhurst, Camberley, Surrey. Enlisted 7 March 1919 on HMS Victory II, civilian occupation, stableman. Found dead at St Georges, Malta 4th June 1934 aged 33 years of cardiac failure after bathing. The cause, fatty infiltration of the heart muscle.
