- D640 CYRIL VINEY WILLIAM SIBLEY. Able Seaman J19127 Royal Navy on HMS Resolution. Born 27 July 1896 at Erith, Kent to Thomas Harry and Eliza Sibley nee Coombes. 1901 he was residing with his widowed father and his widowed grandmother, Elizabeth Sibley at 84 Bexley Road, Erith, Kent. 1911 residing with his father and stepmother Caroline Lucy Sibley, nee Sawers and siblings at Westgate Villas, 32 Avenue Road, Kingston upon Thames, Surrey, occupation aged 14 years, errand boy. Enlisted 29 June 1912 on HMS Impregnable as Boy 2nd Class, civilian occupation, butcher’s boy. Died in Royal Naval Hospital, Bighi, Malta 13th January 1934 aged 39 years from chronic nephritis and uraemia.
