The U.S. aircraft carrier USS Philippine Sea (CV-47) at Gibraltar in February or March 1948. The Philippine Sea, with Carrier Air Group Nine (CVAG-9) assigned, was at the beginning of her deployment to the Mediterranean Sea from 9 February to 26 June 1948
