COOKE, John Kemp, Major, 7th Cheshire Regiment died on active military service on the 29th July 1915 and was buried here on the 31st July 1915 aged 36. He lived at Crossfield House, Over, Cheshire with his parents John Henry and Martha and brother of John Kemp who also fell. he was also the husband of Hilda Frances nee Shiers who he married on the 30th October 1912, Chorley, Near Macclesfield, Cheshire. She was living at Lidgate House, Over, near Winsford, Cheshire. He was a solicitor by occupation LL.B. London University.
