- Clifford Leslie JAMES. Able Seaman (MW) D208138R Royal Navy of HMS Sheraton, Coastal minesweeper based in Scotland. He died 28th January 1988 aged 19 whilst on leave in Chippenham. He died from his injuries in the Royal United Hospital Bath from a hit and run on Sunday 24th January 1988. His home address was 3 Pew Hill, Chippenham. The driver was found and arrested and charged with murder. At rest in London Road Cemetery, Chippenham, Wiltshire.
