Christopher DENISON

DENISON Christopher. Flying Officer, Royal Air Force. Born on the 11th March 1903 and died 30th April 1925 in a Fairey IIID plane in Malta. He was the son of John Edmund Denison of Elm Park Gardens, London.

An aeroplane crash Thursday during a combined Naval and Military aerial operations this morning Thursday 30th at 10.a.m. A Fairey 3 D. landplane belonging to aircraft carrier HMS Eagle, Malta, crashed into a hill owing to the mist on April 30, Flying Officer Christopher Denison, the pilot of the aircraft, was burned to death. He was in collision in the air with another Fairey 3.D. over Leuchars which did not crash. The other two crew of the crashed Fairey were Lieut. Henry Thew Rust, R.N., and Telegraphist Oliver, were injured.
The crew of the other Fairey were not injured and the aeroplane land safely
