- WHITTAKER Charles. Sergeant, 50, 1/8th Manchester Regiment. Died of wounds on the 9th July 1915 at Malta from injuries received in action at Gallipoli. His widow, Mary Ann and daughter Sylvia were both granted a war gratuity on the 14th December 1915. Born at St Gabriel in 1869 at Hulme, Manchester. In 1911 he was living with his wife and two daughters at 23 Chapter Street, Miles Platting, Manchester. He was employed as Lodge timekeeper
FERGUSON Thomas S. Private, 2716, 5th Royal Scots (Queen’s Edinburgh Rifles). Died of wounds 6th July 1915. His widow Isabella nee Campbell was granted a war gratuity on the 31st December 1915. Memorial shows 16th July 1915, incorrect.
PAISH Albert Walter. Private, 1082, 4th Field Ambulance, Australian Army Medical Corps. Died of his wounds, 12th July 1915, aged 35 years. The son of Harry and Mary Ann Paish, and husband of S. E. Paish, of Aldgate, South Australian. Born in West Brighton, England.
