- PALMER Charles Richard Daniel. Chief-Stoker, 299617 Royal Navy on HMS Russell, Born 29 July 1880 Swingfield, nr Dover to Richard Graves and Sarah Ann Palmer nee Hatton enlisted 27 January 1902 on HMS Pembroke II. Died 27th April 1916 aged 35 years when HMS Russell was sunk by a mine. His widow Mary of Silsted Swigfield nr Dover was informed of his death.
