HART Bernard. Sapper, 4746694, 16 Fortress Coy., Royal Engineers, died 3rd/4th May 1941, aged 21 years.
WADSWORTH John Henry. Sapper, 1874195, 16th Fortress Coy., Royal Engineers, died 3rd/4th May 1941, aged 22 years.
They were all killed as the result of a land mine being dropped by JU 88 Bomber on Casemate Barracks Floriana Malta and surrounding area, during an air raid on Valetta. It appeared that the bombers were carrying a mixture on land mines and bombs.
