Born 30 August 1880 at Hurlesden, Middlesex to William Greenhill and Margaret Eliza Chapman, nee John. Baptised as Hubert Greenhill Chapman 5 October 1880 at Christ Church, Roxeth Hill, Middlesex. 1881 residing with his parents at 29 Nicoll Road, Willesden. 1891 pupil at Shirley National Boys School at 67 Winchester Road, Shirley, Millbrook, Hampshire 1901 Captain in 3rd Manchester Regiment at Oudenarde Barracks, North Camp, Aldershot. His parents were residing at 43 Gordon Road, Failing, Middlesex.
Joined the Manchester Regiment 1900, Captain, 1906.
Killed in action at Abedi Southern Nigeria, 15 May 1910 aged 29.
