CAUGHEY William

Lance Corporal 12048 William CAUGHEY. A Company, 2nd Royal Scots Fusiliers. Died 20th August 1919 aged 32. He was the son of James and Martha Caughey and he was the husband of Annie Caughey, of 38, Frederick Street, Newtownards, County Down. Born at Newtownards. He enlisted on the 26th August 1914 and was discharged to pension, 31st May 1915 wounded in action. He was issued with the Silver War Badge on the 27th September 1916. Badge number 5864. He is at rest in Movilla Cemetery, Newtownards, County Down, Northern Ireland.
