- FRY William Victor. Officers Steward, L/4877, HMS Russell. Born 29 October 1892 to George and Susan Fry, nee Mortimer of King Street, Melksham, Wiltshire. Enlisted 2 October 1913 on HMS Victory I, occupation prior to enlistment, footman. Died 27th April 1916 aged 24 when HMS Russell was sunk by a mine. years. At rest in Plot C Grave 310 Capuccini Naval Cemetery, Malta.
