Postcard The Crew of the C3

In the early hours of 23 April 1918, the British submarine C3 rammed a viaduct at Zeebrugge during an operation to seal German U-boats in their base. Packed with of tons of explosives, the boat was detonated after her small crew had left. C3's commanding officer, Lieutenant Richard Sandford, was awarded the Victoria Cross.
