Sergeant 24221974 Brian Michael Brown. 2nd Parachute Regiment.
Killed by an IRA bomb while on patrol near their border Army post at Forkhill, South Armagh, Northern 9th August 1980 age 29.
The following extract credited to the Portsmouth News 13 July 2010
He served with the 2nd Battalion Parachute Regiment in Turkey, the Trucial States in the Persian Gulf, Germany, Malaya and Norway as well as in Northern Ireland. He had served with the regiment for nine years.

He joined the great muster in the sky at Porchester Crematorium, Portsmouth.
This memorial plaque is at the National Memorial Arboretum, Alrewas, Staffordshire
