      Reminds me of a terrible accident in one of the gulf wars where there is a friendly fire issue with a tank convoy from the Cav and an A-10. the A-10 hit a Scimitar which promptly caught on fire. the driver pulls one of the crew out but the fire prevents him from rescuing the third...
      there was nothing they could do, they could hear his screams through the radio until he either died or the radio burnt.
      awful incident they must have felt so helpless...
