Biddulph, Victor Roundell George

2nd Lieutenant with the 2nd attached to the 5th Rifle Brigade, who was killed in France 16th september 1916 aged 19 in the great battle of the Somme. Son of Sir George Tournay and Lady Sarah Wilfreda nee Palmer of Douglas House, Petersham,
Extended Description
He was born on the 24th May 1897, (1901 Census states at St George, Hanover Square, Westminster, London) and he was residing with his parents at 49 Eaton Place, Knightsbridge, London, father a Banker.

1911 shows him with his widowed father (his mother passed away 4th October 1910 aged 56) residing at Douglas House, Petersham. His father died 8th July 1929 and was still residing in Douglas House

London gazette dated 10th August 1915.
"The undermentioned members of The Inns of Court Officer Training Corps to be Second Lieutenant, on probation, 11th Augusa, Victor Roundell George Biddulph, 5th Rifle Brigade" and others.

Commemorated on a memorial in St Michael and All Angels, Ledbury, Herefordshire and also on the Thiepval memorial, Somme, France
