Bertie THURLOW. Bandsman 3847423, 1st Loyal Regiment. Born 1904 to William and Alice Lilly, nee Butler. In 1911 he was residing with his widowed mother at 11 Hill Street, Ipswich, Suffolk.
Died 21st May 1923 aged 19 at Military Hospital, Imtarfa, Malta. The following were granted a gratuity on the 22 August 1923. His brother Lance Bombardier 1052394 William Charles S. sister Lily A M Tweed. On the 22 September 1923, brother John Frederic, and on the 11 March 1924, brother Leonard G. Memorial erected by his comrades of the band of the 1st Loyal Regiment. Gone but not forgotten. Erected by his Band comrades
