CAPPELL James Leitch, Chaplin 4th Class, Army Chaplains Department attached to 1/9th Royal Scots died 23 January 1918 age 41. Son of Thomas and Mary Cappell, of Crieff, Perthshire; husband of Alice Eleanor Cappell, nee Pickop of Vine House, Revidge Road., Blackburn, Lancs. Buried at Ste. Marie Cemetery, Le Harve, France

COATES Robert, Pte 15820, 2nd Company 1st Coldstream Guards. Died of wounds 18th September 1916 age 19. Son of Eliza and John Coates, of Town Hills, Stockton, Stafford. 1901 he was residing with his parents and siblings at Walton on Hill, Berkswich, Staffordshire. 1911 still residing with his parents and siblings at Town Hills, Stockton, Staffordshire, occupation aged 14, gardeners boy His mother was granted a war gratuity 2 January 1917 revised 26 September 1919. Buried at Grove Town Cemetery, Meaulte, Somme, France

DEAVILLE Roland. Quartermaster Sergeant 810003, 232nd North Midland Brigade Royal Field Artillery. Born 1889 to Mary and William Deaville. 1901-1911 residing with his parents and siblings at Grindley, Staffordshire. 1911 aged 22 years boarder at Trumpet Hotel, Radford Wharf, Staffordshire, occupation, draughtsman. He died at his residence, Rock Cottage, Radford, Stafford 16 February 1919. He was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal, rank, Battery Quartermaster Sergeant. His widow Maud Eveline, nee Earl was granted a war gratuity 1 September 1919.
Wills and Admin, Ancestry have him a Quartermaster in the Royal Air Force, which is in correct. His effects went to his widow. Buried at St John the Baptist churchyard, Stow by Chartley Staffordshire

FARNSWORTH Ernest Job, Pte 19209 3rd Suffolk Regiment died 16th August 1916 age 24. Son of E. and Eliza Farnsworth, of Badnall, Eccleshall, Staffs. Buried at Dive Cops British Cemetery, Sailly Le Sec, Somme, France

FELTON Harry, Bdr 80646, B Battery 162 Brigade 26th Reserve Bn, Royal Field Artillery died 29th October 1916 age 22. Son of Harry Davis & Jane of Harrowby Street, Stafford. Buried at Sailly-Au-Bois Military Cemetery, France

GIBSON Marjorie, Voluntary Aid Detachment. It is shame that this nurse and the other brave nurses who served their country and lost their lives, and with out them a lot more injured soldiers would have died through lack of care have not be recognised
