Barbara Olive HANDSCOMB. Daughter of Colour-Sergeant Philip Percy Handscomb, 1st Queen’s Royal Regiment and Olive Grace Handscomb nee Light. Born in 1926 at Dover died in Malta 8th September 1930 aged 4 years.

Father - Philip Percy Handscomb
Regimental Rolls, 1914-1947. Enlistment Register Book 1920 Queen's Royal West Surrey Regiment. He enlisted 17th March 1919 aged 18 years and 4 months at St Albans, occupation clerk. Army number 12785 Born at Bishop Stortford, Hertfordshire. He was the son of Thomas James and Mary Ann Handscomb nee Chivers. In 1901 he was living with his parents and siblings at Jervis Road, Bishop Stortford, Hertfordshire. 1911 still with his parents and siblings now at 33 Dunmow Road, Bishop Stortford. He died 4th June 1944 at the Clayton Hospital, Wakefield. He lived with his wife Olive Grace at New Hall Cottages Middlestown near Wakefield.
Mother Grace Handscomb
She born in 1900 at Islington, London to Ernest and Annie Light. In 1901 she was living with her parents at Highby Station Road, Islington. In 1911 her mother then a widow was living at Traine Terrace, Modbury, Ivybridge, Devon. She died 19th August 1949 at Redhill County Hospital, Redhill, Surrey. Her address was listed as 72 London Road, Camberley, Surrey.
