- Arthur William Frederick GLENDINNING. 2nd Lieutenant, 12th Royal Scots. Born in Malta 4th May 1895 and was killed in action at Deville Wood, 13th July 1916. He was the son of James and W Agnes, now Mrs Rose He is commemorated on his father's memorial in Tabraxia Cemetery, Malta and on the Thiepval Memorial, Somme, France. For King and Country
His father James died 3rd July 1896 aged 40. He was Native of Dumfries, Scotland, Telegraphist with the Eastern Telegraph Company.
