ORAM Arthur John. Boy 1st Class Devonport J/54467 Royal Navy on HMS Foresight (Egmont). Born 18 September 1900 at Dartford Kent to Walter and Sarah Mary Oram, nee Floyde. In 1911 he was residing with his parents and siblings at 4 Thirza Road, Dartford, Kent enlisted 6 June 1916 on HMS Vivid 1, occupation prior to enlistment, engineers labourer. Died 25 July 1918 aged 18 years. at Royal Naval Hospital Bighi Malta from Paratyphoid broncho pneumonia Memorial erected by his shipmates of HMS Foresight. His mother Sarah of 4 Thirza Road Dartford Kent was informed of his death. This is a private memorial which states surname as ORAN died 25 June 1918.
