Army Billet

The billet was one of eight dormitories that formed part of a building called a Spyder (spider) block. The ablution section occupied the central area. This was November 1956 and you will note that steel lockers had not been issue. Military clothing was stowed in lockers on the wall and in a steel foot locker by the bed.
