Born 1890 at Galston, Lanarkshire to James and Jeanie H Nisbet of 4 Back of Temple Hill.
Scottish 1901 with his sister Jeanie unmarried, head of house and his siblings at Bairds Buildings back of Templehill. Troon Ayshire. For the same period 1901 their mother Jeanie was a cook for Mary Ann Dowie at 77 West Street, Govan. Husband of Jeannie Nisbet, nee Maddock of 25, Balfour Street, Newtownards, formerly Dalziel Lanarkshire.
Notes from what remains of his service records. Enlisted aged 26 years and 3 months, Next of kin his sister Lily. He residence was 8 Howat Street, Govan. Mobilized 2 December 1915 and posted to 14th Highland Light Infantry. 24 April 1916 posted to the 3rd battalion. 25 May 1916 discharged from the army not being likely to become and efficient solder, para 392 (iii) K.R.
Died 13 January 1919 age 29 years old after discharge from the army at Balfour Street, Newtownards of Pulmonary Tuberculosis which he suffered with for 2 years and 11 months. His brother-in-law William Maddock registered the death 16 January 1919. At rest in Movilla Cemetery Newtownards County Down, Northern Ireland.
