ARCHER William . Private 5766 , 5th, Wiltshire Regiment. He was the son of William James and Clara Beatrice of Wotton Bassett, Wiltshire. He was born in Wootton Bassett in 1886 as William James. In 1911 he was with the 1st Wilts in South Africa. His civilian occupation was a railway clerk for the Midland and Southern Western Junction Railway, Swindon His father died in 1909 , his mother in 1911 was living at 46 Richmond Gardens, Shepherds Bush, London with two of her sons, both clerks. He was wounded at Mesopotamia and died 4th November 1915 In Malta.
HORSFIELD William. Private, 3206, 1/5th, East Lancashire Regiment. Died of dysentery, 4th November 1915, aged 25 years. The son of Henry and Margaret Horsfield, of 84 Mitella Street, Burnley.
