SLATER Edwin William. Private, 8/1838, Otago Regiment, New Zealand Expeditionary Force. Died of his wounds, 2nd September 1915. At rest in Pieta Military Cemetery, Malta.

STRAWBRIDGE Allan Joseph. Gunner, 2/567, 2nd Brigade H.Q., New Zealand Field Artillery. Died of sickness, 27th December 1915, aged 24 years. The son of the late Joseph and Elizabeth Strawbridge, of Horsham Downs, Hamilton, New Zealand. At rest in Pieta Military Cemetery, Malta.

TEMPERLEY Christian Kerr. Private, 12/261, Auckland Regiment, New Zealand Field Artillery. Died of his wounds, 3rd September 1915. The brother of J.R. Temperley, of Ashhurst, New Zealand. At rest in Pieta Military Cemetery, Malta.

TE WHARE Taiawhiao. Private 16/421 New Zealand Maori Contingent died 31st July 1915. Son of Miriama Te Whare. At rest in Addolorata Cemetery, Malta.

THOMPSON Alec Leslie. Trooper, 9/103, Otago Mounted Rifles,New Zealand Expeditionary Force. Died of enteric fever, 8th September 1915. The son of Mrs. A. Thomson, of Ings Avenue, St. Clair, Dunedin, New Zealand. At rest in Pieta Military Cemetery, Malta.

TURTON Lewis Cuthbert. Sapper, 13/466 Auckland Mounted Rifles. New Zealand Expeditionary Force. Previously served as Corporal in the Northumberland Hussars Yeomanry for 4 years, discharged in 1912. He joined up at Hamilton, New Zealand on the 13th August 1914. After he had completed to he posted to Mediterranean to join his regiment. On the 8th August 1915 while in action at the Dardanelles he received a gun shot to his head which fractured his skull . He was treated for his injuries on the field and later invalided to a hospital in Malta on Hospital Ship, Valdivia. He died of his wounds in Malta on the 25th August 1915. He was born on the 4th October 1888 and baptised on the 4th October 1888 at Goole, Yorkshire to Thomas Coates of 23 Grosvenor Road, Scarborough, Yorkshire who was his next of kin. His mother Betsy died in 1889 aged 43. He father later remarried to Emily Jane Tallents. On the 3rd February 1912 he left London for Wellington, New Zealand on passenger ship Athenic, occupation, farmer. At rest in Pieta Military Cemetery, Malta.

VICKERS Edward Wright. Private, 10/2346, Wellington Regiment, New Zealand Expeditionary Force. Died of dysentery, 25th August 1915, aged 21 years. The son of Edward and Maud Vickers, of Beach Street, Fitzroy, New Plymouth, New Zealand. At rest in Pieta Military Cemetery, Malta.

VICKERS Frank Henry. Driver 4/222/B 1st Field Company New Zealand Engineers died 31st May 1915 aged 19. Son of Henry and Caroline Vickers, of Brighton, England. At rest in Imtarfa Military Cemetery, Malta.

WADE David ( Alias FORD Jack). Private 10/1485, New Zealand Forces, died of wounds 3rd July 1915, (see WADE the correct family name).
His army record was made public on the 1st September 2014
His next of kin was his sister, Mrs James Thomas of 550, James Street, North Hamilton, New Zealand. At the time of his enlistment he was living at Alma Road, Wanganui, New Zealand. He enlisted as Jack Ford, true name David Wade.
He was born on the 10th May 1886 Scotland. His father was William James WADE of 24, East Crawford Street, Greenock, Scotland. He joined up aged 28 years and 6 months. He embarked Wellington, on the 14th February 1915 and disembarked at Egypt 26th March 1915. He was wounded in action at the Dardanelles 7th June 1915 and was treated in 1st Casualty Clearing Station, Anzac and then transferred to Malta on a hospital ship on the 13th June where he was admitted to Valletta Hospital. On the 27th June 1916 he was pronounced out of danger, then on the same day reported dangerously ill. He died of his wounds in Valletta Hospital 3rd July 1916. At rest in Pieta Military Cemetery, Malta.

WAIRAU Ra. Private, 16/53 New Zealand. Maori Contingent. Died 11th September 1915, from wounds he received at Gallipoli. He was the brother of Mr. Paihau Wairau, of Opoutama, New Zealand. His army record shows that he was shot in the head at Anzac 6th August 1915 and was transferred to Malta on the 14th August. He died on the 6th August and was buried by Chaplain E E Smith at Pieta Military Cemetery, the same day. At rest in Pieta Military Cemetery, Malta.

WHITTON Frank Henry George. Trooper, 11th/398th, Wellington Mounted Rifles, New Zealand Expeditionary Force. Died of enteric fever, 29th August 1915, aged 21 years. The son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Whitton, of Masterton, New Zealand. At rest in Pieta Military Cemetery, Malta.

WORLEY Robin James. Private, 10/2381, Wellington Regiment, New Zealand Expeditionary Force. On the 8th August 1915 while in action at the Dardanelles he was shot in the left arm and side of chest. He was treated at 16th Casualty Clearing Station and later invalided to a hospital in Malta on Hospital Ship, Valdivia. He died of cardiac failure as the result of his injuries on the 28th August 1915, aged 24 years at Malta. He was born on the 7th December 1890 at Reigate, Kent to Charles and Fanny Elizabeth, (nee Heather) of Priory Mead, 3 Park Lane, Reigate, Surrey. His mother was his next of kin. On the 4th July 1913 he left London for Australia on passenger ship Orient aged 24, occupation farmer. At rest in Pieta Military Cemetery, Malta.
