John Buck LLOYD. Lieutenant 137441 1st Parachute Regiment, Army Air Corps. Born 1920 to Sir John Buck Lloyd, Kt., and Lady Daisy Methven Lloyd, nee Carlisle of Cirencester, Gloucestershire. Scholar of Harrow School. Died 5 February 1943 aged 23. Scholar of Harrow School. Commemorated on a memorial tablet in the church of Holy Rood, Ampney Crucis. At rest in Medjez-el-Bab War Cemetery, Tunisia.

Philip Arthur MUNDAY. Chief Officer (1st Officer) 143058 Merchant Navy of S.S. Port Nicholson (London). Born in Oxford 1903 to William and Harriet Munday of Ampney Crucis. 1911 residing with his parents and brother at The Crown, Ampney Crucis, Gloucestershire. The 8 March 1930 he married Irene Kathleen Perrett at Holy Rood Church, Ampney Crucis. He was aged 27, master mariner. At the time of his death his wife was residing at Henleaze, Gloucestershire. Drowned at sea 16 June 1942 aged 39 as the result of two torpedoes hitting the ship fired by a German submarine U-87, commanded by Joachim, 100 miles from Portland Maine. Commemorated on the Tower Hill Memorial, London.

Alexander Scott RONALD. (Mentioned in Despatches) Major 68201 Kings Royal Rifle Corps (The Rangers) attached to No 6 Commando. Born 1909 to Ronald Dewar Ronald and Lillian Ronald, nee Bowie. Husband of Elizabeth Carlisle Ronald, nee Lloyd of Wheatley, Oxfordshire. B.A. (Oxon.). Died 8 November 1942 aged 33. At rest in Dely Ibrahim War Cemetery, Algeria.
