US subs AL9 AL11 etc in dock

These are USN submarines of US Submarine Division 5, (subdiv5), based in Cork, Ireland in 1918. They were originally L class boats but when based in the UK they were working with RN submarines and to differentiate them from the RN boats the nomenclature was changed to AL class boats.
