Private 48331, 7th Northamptonshire Regiment, formerly 54623, Royal Army Service Corps, killed in action in France 20th September 1918 aged 32. Son of Richard and Mary Jane 127, Swandlincote Road, Woodville, Burton on Trent.

Commemorated on a family memorial at St James churchyard, Smisby, Derbyshire and is at rest in Bully-Genay Communal Cemetery, British Extension, France
