Lance Corporal Alfred ELLENS No. 201825 8th Bn. Gloucestershire Regiment
Died 1 December 1918 aged 32 in France from Influenza.

Seventh son of Charles James and Matilda Ellens. His father was granted a war gratuity 17 March 1919. 1901 he resided at Oddfellows Row, Maugersbury, Gloucestershire and in 1911 he was with his brother Percy and family at 64 Holtshill Lane, Walsall, Staffordshire and he was a Plasterer's labourer. His brother and father were also Plasterers.

At rest at St Sever Cemetery Extension, Rouen, France.

Commemorated on a family headstone at

Stow-on-the-Wold Cemetery, Gloucestershire.
