Alfred COURSE

COURSE, Alfred Leslie. Sergeant 25917, 10th Durham Light Infantry killed in action 16th September 1916, formerly served with the reserve Cavalry Regiment as Private 16263. He was the son of Alfred and Mary. In 1911 he was living with mother and siblings at 25, Manor Road, Rugby and he was employed as a grocers assistant. He is also named as Leslie. He is/was, commemorated on a Poppy Cross on the W.W.2 War Memorial in the Garden of Remembrance, near the Holy Trinity Church, Stratford on Avon He is also commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial, Somme, France.
