Alexander MAGEE

Extended Description
MAGEE, Alexander, Rifleman 13246, C Company, 8th Royal Irish Rifles. Born 1894 in Bloomfield, Belfast, Ireland, the youngest son of Malcom McCacken Magee and Margaret Magee, of Gortmerron, Bloomfield, Belfast. Died at 11 Field Ambulance, Mailly, Maillet, France on the 19th November 1915 from wounds received in action aged 21 years. His father was granted a war gratuity 22 March 1916 revised 14 August 1919. He is commemorated on his parents memorial in Dundonald Cemetery, County Down, Northern Ireland and he is at rest in Mailly-Maillet Communal Cemetery Extension, Somme, France

His elder brother Malcolm also died in the great war in Canada, through an illness while serving in the Canadian Army 11 December 1918.
