Albert Robert WILLIAMS

WILLIAMS, Albert Robert. Sapper 62257 Royal Engineers died 3rd September 1920 aged 33.
Extended Description
He was the son of John and Ella Williams, of Stourbridge and he was the husband of Lucy Zilpah Buckley (formerly Williams), of Fir Dene, Percy St., Stratford-on-Avon. He is at rest in Stratford on Avon Cemetery, Warwickshire.

He joined up on the 8th January 1915 and was posted as Sapper 62247, Royal Engineers. He was aged 27 years and 220 days lived with his wife Lucy and their two children at 9, Henley Street, Stratford on Avon he gave his occupation as a railway signal fitter and railway platelayer. After he completed his training he was posted to France on the 7th July 1916. No record has survived has to his movements from the time he went to France, and the day he was discharged to Class Z, Pension on the 18th June 1919. A notice dated 11th April 1922 from the Pebsion Issue Office to Captain Barling, Liaison Officer Burton Court Chelsea informing his that Sapper Albert Robert William died on the 3rd September 1920 at M.B.P Hospital Hollymoor, Northfield.
