Albert Edward AUKETT

Extended Description: Albert Edward AUKETT. Bandsman 6149, 1st Royal Dublin Fusiliers, Born 1 May 1883 in Brighton to Charles Henry William Croxson and Jane Aukett, nee Snow. In 1891 he was living with his parents at 27 Mount Pleasant, Brighton. He joined the army on the 14th September 1897 and was by occupation a Musician. He died in Malta, cause unknown 7th January 1903, aged 19 years 11 months. His mother was granted a gratuity 11 December 1903.

Interesting occupation. That explains the presence of a lyre on the face of the obelisk.
