He was part crew of six flying in North American B-25 Mitchell II No. FL212 Markings EV-A. The plane took off from RAF Foulsham, Norfolk 22 January 1943 on a day bombing mission to Gent- Purfina and Sinclair oil refineries, Belgium. It was by flak in the starboard engine and then shot down same day by a fighter (Fw 190) and crashed off the Belgian coast.
Died aged 29 years
