Third, information warfare is not about creating an alternate truth, but eroding our basic ability to distinguish truth at all. It is not “propaganda” as we’ve come to think of it, but the less obvious techniques known in Russia as “active measures” and “reflexive control. Both are designed to make us, the targets, act against our own best interests

Came across this article today, thought I would share... To Putin's fan club out there (as I know that the discussion is imminent): I disagree with the "final point"; a country which has GDP that of for example Italy, cannot naintain the second large military power in the world.

Whatever happens, America will be exponentially better off with Trump than Ob0z0 the wimp. SW

The country a gas station, Upper Volta with rockets, not the world and regional power
add the list if it isn't full, the western politicians very beautifully tell about that in what country I live
:):):)

On some to annoying misunderstanding Russia still only country which can destroy the USA

...that depends. Fighting against 10-15.000 Ukrainian volunteers while the rest sits demoralized in the barracks or throwing bombs on civilians in Aleppo is one thing. Waging a full blown war against another country - or NATO for that matter is another... and remember Chechnya, or not, I know it was long ago... remember what happened at the border with Turkey. All the retaliation happened in the media only. So yes. My experience taught me it's about money. It always is.

Numbers...
The only war Russia has won was ww2 in the 20th century. With the support of the whole wide world. With 20 mil. dead. So to answer your question fully, it's about money and the common disregard for human life.

and France has surrendered, Paris remained is untouched, and Stalingrad is destroyed

to you not to understand

live in the fed slavery?

We're talking about the posted article, correct? The 5% and such? Not about what France did during ww2 or how Aleppo celebrated Christmas. How's Kuznetsov by the way? The last time I heard a Mig29 made a crash dive into the sea... and whatever happened to the experimental PAK-FA and Armata...

Armata has gone to a series: The Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation has ordered more than one hundred T-14 tanks

The Russian fighters of the fifth generation PAK-FA (T-50) can go to a series in 2018. The governor of Khabarovsk Krai Vyacheslav Shport told about it at East economic forum.

The Admiral Kuznetsov aircraft carrier and the heavy atomic guided missile cruiser "Pyotr Veliky" can leave until the end of a current month the water area of the Mediterranean Sea at coast of Syria and will go to a basis of the Northern Fleet of Russia in Severomorsk. It is reported by Interfax with reference to own informed source.

— It is expected that in January "Admiral Kuznetsov" and "Pyotr the Great" will finish a distant campaign and will go to native coast — quotes the agency of the word of a source.

These capitalist cowards value their petty lives and money over their country or honour.

How's Kuznetsov by the way?

Admiral Kuznetsov is as mighty as always and will soon continue its fight against the NATO-backed terrorist rebels in Syria.

Cool your jets. Armata won´t be equipped in large numbers because - again numbers - it´s not cheap. T72B3 and T80U will remain the main battle tanks for the upcoming decade.
The bird sure looks beautiful and I´d love to see it in the skies - but the upcoming tests after a series of failures are scheduled for March 2017... The all PAK-FA vs. F22 comparisons are therefore nonsense.
Kuznetsov was designed during USSR, since then she didn´t participate in anything besides sea trials. The boat is powered by steam turbines (!) which failed numerous of times - that´s why the Kuznetsov cannot operate independently. Not the mention that a series of smaller issues troubles her, like bursting of water pipes. In the 21st century... Syria was her first deployment - with only 13 jets on board. The result? Russian planes returned back to the Syrian bases.
Liaoning the same. It´s been in the docks for 30 years. She didn´t pass the sea trials either. But despite that she took part in some excercise 2-3 years ago. If ever she´ll be used against the neighbors in South China Sea as a deterrent.

Nice picts though :)

You guys should work in some PR company. I know a talent when I see one ;)

Kid, 20 million dead has got nothing to do with the value of honor and country. It´s pure waste. But lets get back to how the maintainance of an army has got nothing to do with money. Please, educate me.

you read what the tank of an armata is required in thousands copies?

PAK-FA vs. F22 :
you like to count money compare cost
and you likely it is aware with HUGE problems in operation of F22

the technique of opposition with American aircraft carrying connections was based in the USSR on destruction of aircraft carriers by rockets from submarines

For the Soviet Union 20 million was the price of the physical survival of its remaining residents, in cases defeat the inhabitants of the country to be destroyed
